Manifesting Your Dreams

Hey, dark passengers. By now, I think everyone on the planet is familiar with the Law of Attraction – or at least, they’ve heard of it. Even if you don’t believe that your consciousness has any bearing on the events of your life, I feel I must ask: How can it hurt to try manifesting your dreams?

Considering that the Laws of Attraction have been buzz words for years now, it might seem odd for me to choose now to discuss this topic. In fact, you probably think it’s more of my randomness that means little. It’s not.

Last week, I received an email from local psychic medium Cindy Ross. This in and of itself is nothing new because I get her newsletter on a weekly basis to let me know what’s going on in the classes she offers. What got me thinking specifically about the Law of Attraction is something she wrote about the solar eclipse we’ll experience on January 15, 2010.

This is a north nodal eclipse, suggesting that we are being called to develop new skills and talents through independent effort…Big changes are in the works for most of us.  We can expect a rebirth of the Spirit after a dark night of the soul.”

There was more to the message about how infrequent this type of eclipse is, but the portions referenced above are what struck a chord in me. Why?

I don’t know.

Funny…I seem to be saying that a great deal lately. Just like everyone else, I seem to have more questions than answers.

And when I have the answers others seek, I rarely know how I knew the answer myself.

What does this have to do with anything, you ask? Well, even if you don’t see anything credible to the Law of Attraction, now might be the time to test it. You see, a new moon is well known to be the most powerful time to manifest your dreams into reality.

Oh…in another part of the message, Cindy went on to say that a solar eclipse is a new moon.

Whether or not Cindy’s right about the semantics, I’m willing to concede that a solar eclipse that occurs only every 20 years or so is a significant solar event. What do I have to lose by turning my attention during the time of the eclipse to all those positive things I want and the ways in which I’d like to develop? Worst case scenario, it’s time spent reflecting on the positive aspects of my life.

I fail to see a downside in that.

But something else struck me. In fact, I’ve found the last line downright haunting over the previous week. Perhaps it simply hits too close to home.

You see, I’ve been listless these days. Something isn’t…right. My dreams, while always active, have taken on more meaning. Well, I should say the snippets of the dreams I remember are meaningful. Two things tend to alter my dreams in this way. The first occurs when I’m in the midst of making spiritual changes or undergoing a spiritual awakening. This isn’t that. I know when I’m in the middle of that.

I’m not.

The second is when something big-ish is coming. I don’t fully know how to explain this, but I suspect some of you understand exactly what I’m trying to say as you read this because you live this yourself. The last time I remember this particular level of dreaming and the other, erm, activity I’ve noticed recently was back when I first learned I was an Empath.

Again, I don’t know what any of this means or why now, of all times, is so significant. But I feel it. Do you? I don’t know what it is I’m supposed to do, so perhaps I’ll try to manifest some answers for myself during the eclipse.

What will you try to manifest during the eclipse? Am I alone, or does anyone else feel something coming?

I totally understand the something biggish coming feeling!! In fact, (it’s so funny because I was downstairs doing laundry when this happened) yesterday I had this huge feeling that something really good was going to happen. No clue what, but just that something very positive was coming soon! I don’t know if it’s for me personally, or just good in general. I’ll take it over the something horrible is about to happen feeling :D

It’s kind of frustrating, actually. I mean, I like that I’m getting the impression of something good to come…but the lack of specifics is driving me crazy. :(

I attended a showing this weekend of The Quantum Activist with Amit Goswami who is a Theoretical Nuclear Physicist (say that three times fast!) who states that the ideas in The Secret are “old thinking from the 70′s that do not work. I was sort of suprised, because everything else he talked about was in keeping with the quantum ideas I’ve read to date. I can’t begin to explain WHY he said that, you would have to watch the movie. Those ideas resonate while I have no idea how to integrate and understand them yet. I’m sure DVD is widely available by now.
